This year, 79 attendees from 19 countries came together for an engaging four-day programme packed with five conference sessions, a dynamic round-table, and a lively poster session, followed by visits to marine stations in Japan.

The World Congress of Marine Stations (WCMS) 2024 has received official endorsement from the UN’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO (IOC/UNESCO) as an activity of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.
