However, coastal ecosystems are under increasing stresses from both human activities and climate change. There is an urgent need to establish a long-term and systematic observation and research platform for the coastal ecosystems.
Regional and Global Networks
WAMS is a global marine network, which includes regional and other global networks within its hierarchy. Marine networks provide opportunities for marine stations to collaborate and share knowledge, and are vital for transformative ocean science.
